How Did We Organize a Family Day

In 2018 we started targeted support for parents and established a program called For the past 4 years, the program has been helping parents from to stay in touch with the company by proactively organizing initiatives and activities. As we are getting bigger (and older), the community of parents is wider and has more and more members. Quite naturally, it feels right to support them and help them be included in the company.

With our parents, we meet on various occasions, sometimes it’s a thematic workshop, sometimes lessons, mentoring/coaching, social events, or sometimes it’s an event.

At this moment we are hosting the amazing team of organizers of the Winter Olympics Festival in Brno HQ, so we thought it would be a great opportunity to use the momentum and organize a Winter Olympics Family day for our parents and their kids. And guess what. They loved it!

What was “Family Day” about?

During the whole day, around 70 parents and kids came to try various sports activities, to gather and network not only with other parents, but also with the rest of their colleagues, and have some fun. Our families could try many activities, from curling, skating to biathlon. Some of the kids even stood for the first time on ice skates and they were able to master it! We organized an environment inside our office where a warm space with toys and food was waiting for everyone. As there were a lot of kids, we decided to bring help so parents can be relaxed as well, and we hired nannies for a day so both kids could enjoy some great games.

“The great thing about the day was that Kiwi arranged a whole day nanny service and we could leave our little son with nannies, knowing that he is safe and being looked after while me and my wife could try some sports activities.” Says Jan Vagner, from the Security team.
