Business Analyst for CS & Operations
The role focuses on translating data into insights in order to help the organisation reach its targets by helping identify missed and new opportunities, support the business and product units in the decision-making process, establish best practices in the way data is used across the organisation, explain past performance, and guide the business towards future growth.
- Analyse, understand and report your area’s short-term trading performance and be able to identify main drivers as well as missed and new opportunities arising.
- Perform complex data analysis of new data sources to gain a deeper understanding of how that data can help inform business decisions using a methodical and logical approach to dealing with data.
- Build case studies and what-if analyses to evaluate the impact of new products, business features and pricing changes.
- Build meaningful and appealing self-service dashboards independently.
- Define, lead & coordinate quick corrective actions of missed opportunities, following up with relevant stakeholders for long-term sustainable solutions.
- Identify new opportunities for the business.
- Understand the concept of statistical significance and the ways of reporting it by mastering basic statistical methods.
- Can write efficient, legible, and well-commented SQL or Python code.
- Have great analytical skills and flawless attention to detail.
- Have good problem-solving skills.
- Have experience with Data Visualisation, retail analytics and Modelling are a plus.
- Are able to spot quickly changes in the dynamics of your area, find out root causes and be able to assess impacts on other business areas by understanding synergies within the company.
- Act when you spot the problem or inefficiency, either by escalating to your managers or senior colleague. You take the lead in driving conversations within the team.
- Always want to improve and you are looking for personal development opportunities.
- Are proactive and try to eliminate obstacles which are slowing down you or your team.
- Experiment and try different ways how to solve the problem; reflect, share or propose ideas.
