Engineering Lead – Search Backend (Golang)

To ensure our search engine runs as smoothly as possible, we are looking forward to hiring the right talent for the role of Golang Engineering Lead.
- help your team consisting of 3 engineers both on-site & remote to grow their skills and experience while maintaining a strong relationship with them.
- ensure the high-quality of work – code reviews, clean code, and testing best practices.
- minimise technical debt, errors, outages and conduct risk management.
- contribute to product architecture and design technical solutions.
- help your team prioritise the incoming requests in coordination with Product Management, distributing work amongst team members and assuring that their tasks are well defined.
- actively cooperate with product management on agile processes and quarterly roadmap planning.
- share your technical expertise regularly.
- have experience with Golang as your primary programming language.
- are able to read and understand code written in Python.
- have at least 4 years of experience in software development.
- have some experience with mentoring, leading projects, and the team.
- have experience with running agile project management processes.
- are familiar with debugging and monitoring, containerization, testing, git, CI/CD, networking, and distributed systems.
- are a strong leader in both technical as well as organizational areas.
- have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- focus on proactivity, independence, & self-study.
- are good at methodological work & problem-solving.
- like to learn new things.
- enjoy cooperating with your colleagues (be it junior or senior one).
- have a strong sense for responsibility and ownership.
- make decisions about the code with product and business value in mind.
