Internationalization Software Engineer

Kiwi.com is an important international player in the travel industry with modern technology and a unique product. 
We are looking for a Software Engineer with a passion for internationalization.

Your mission will be to build high-quality, innovative, and fully performing software that complies with coding standards and technical design.

    Key responsibilities:

  • Provide engineering solutions to i18n problems across the company for different products and technologies.
  • Provide analysis and recommendation on appropriate CMS and TMS platforms that satisfy business and technical requirements.
  • Provide foundational engineering leadership in i18n. 
  • Evangelize best practices around internationalization.
  • Partner across product, design, and engineering teams to innovate and implement sophisticated solutions to complex challenges.
  • Own the i18n roadmap and communicate it to all involved. 
  • Write scripts and automation tools especially for localization process improvements.
  • Drive usage of ISO, ICU and CLDR standards throughout engineering.
  • We would like to see you apply if you have:

  • 3 years or more of professional experience in software development
  • Experience in web development role integrating i18n frameworks is a big plus
  • Good knowledge of a high-level programming language like JavaScript, Python, etc.
  • Understand how translations work on web and mobile clients (ios, android)
  • Experience with different translation management systems and content management systems (Phrase and XTM in particular) and their automation possibilities
