Learning & Development Lead

We at Kiwi.com are constantly growing. We are looking for a Learning and Development Lead to accelerate the talent growth, and play a crucial role in retaining key people while also building opportunities for succession as the departments grow.

You would act as a Kiwi.com Learning & Development ambassador to our individual Functional Lines while supporting their domain strategies with ongoing professional education and development. You would achieve these by bringing the best industry practices making sure that Kiwi teams keep on track with continuous education that utilises the newest frameworks and methods available. You would work closely with other L&D team colleagues to deliver company-wide initiatives to the business.

    Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading, developing and managing in-house job-family academies that follow the broader Kiwi L&D approach and methodology to enable our employees to grow at all levels, from early to mid-career, and the continued development of career paths for experienced and senior leaders within the non-R&D part of our company.
  • Designing and personally delivering learning interventions – you will listen and translate desired outcomes into relevant and engaging learning experiences (including skill frameworks, capability mapping, secondments, and curriculums) that develop the expertise and knowledge of both individuals and management and that are observable through KPIs and success metrics.
  • Taking ownership of programmes, planning and communications to ensure understanding and a joined-up approach with our other job-family academies/domains/specialisms – you will regularly review and provide a structured approach to existing and new training programmes.
  • Partnering with our Senior L&D Leadership, Functional Line Leadership Teams, Subject Matter Experts and Key Business Stakeholders to plan, develop and promote the academies while proactively addressing emerging learning challenges and roadblocks to success.
  • Promoting a culture in which continuous learning, personal growth, and development are recognised and employee-led.
  • We would like to see your application if you have:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a Senior Learning & Development role, developing solutions, curriculums and implementing training strategies for individuals and teams.
  • Experience delivering and facilitating training and 1-to-1 coaching in a business environment such as Sales & Marketing, Administrative & Operations, and Finance functions.
  • Demonstrable experience building high-performing teams and business partnerships while establishing yourself as a respected and influential people leader is strongly desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills and fluency in English at a professional level (written and verbal).
  • Proven ability in forming productive working relationships with stakeholders at all seniority levels.
  • A relevant degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s degree) is preferred.
  • L&D accreditation (CIPD or equivalent) commensurate with this career stage is preferable.
  • A desire to embrace and drive change whilst identifying and implementing process improvements and demonstrating best practices.
  • Partner-focused, with an understanding of how to make ideas practical and relevant; and how to manage internal relationships effectively.
