Regional SEO Specialist

The mission of this role is to increase Search engine ranks of Kiwi.com for particular regions. Specifically, be responsible for on-page SEO ranking factors for assigned region(s). Monitor off-page ranking factors and recommend/drive initiatives that will improve backlinks in the given regions.

    Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain rank matrix of top origin-destination routes, airlines, airports, and other types of landing pages for each given region.
  • Perform keywords research, and propose route segmentation and content changes for each segment.
  • Prepare and monitor region-specific reports on a weekly basis.
  • Come up with content and code improvements for SEO landing pages.
  • Monitor new/lost backlinks in assigned region(s), communicate with site owners and perform any actions if needed.
  • Liaise with Marketing & Communications teams to coordinate marketing and PR activities in the given regions.
  • Liaise with Content & Creative team to recommend topics for Kiwi.com Stories, be involved in the preparation of the regional content plan.
  • Stay in the loop of changes in SEO algorithms in Google and other search engines, if they are included in search engine strategy for given region(s).
  •  Liaise with engineering and product teams if any improvements are needed.
  • Minimum 3 year experience as SEO specialist.
  • Good knowledge of HTML5/CSS and basic knowledge of JavaScript from SEO perspective.
  • Good knowledge ot technical SEO.
  • Some data analysis skills and ability to work with BigQuery and large data sets that do not fit in Google Sheets or Excel.
  • Hands-on experience with SEO software tools, such as AHREFS, SEMRUSH, Screaming Frog, and others.
  •  Good writing skills in English and in one of the languages: Czech, Polish, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Ukrainian+Russian.
  • Great communication skills, both verbal and written in English and one of the target languages.
  •  Analytical mindset, great attention to detail.
  • Attention to detail balanced with swift execution – we need to do things quickly, and we need to do them well.
  •  Good knowledge of Google Sheets / Excel, ability to work with large data.
  • Some knowledge of Google Analytics and Google Adwords.
  • Good to have: fluent speaker of one of the languages (1: Slavik group: Czech, Slovak, Polish, Hungarian, Ukrainian, Russian; 1: German, 3: French, Spanish, Italian).
  • Good to have: web development skills are a big plus.
